Ricky L. Freeman
Ricky Freeman is president, Defense and Space for Honeywell Aerospace. In this role, he leads a multi-billion dollar global organization with a portfolio of capabilities including satellite systems, missile systems & munitions, engines & power systems, mechanical systems, electronic systems, agile software solutions, human space systems and strategic launch vehicles for US and international defense and space business operations.
Ricky has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in defense & aerospace. Most recently, he served as vice president of Boeing Defense, Space & Security services responsible for domestic & international mission readiness & sustainment support. In that role he provided engineering, modifications, maintenance, supply chain, logistics, training, digital analytics sustainment services for all Boeing strike, surveillance, mobility, vertical lift, autonomous and commercial derivative aircraft as well as space and strategic missile platforms.
Prior to that, he held roles as vice president, Business Development for Raytheon Missiles & Defense and director of Program Management for DRS Finmeccanica manufacturing integrated electronic, mechanical and power systems for US Navy Aegis, Japanese Kongo Class, Norwegian Fridtjof Nansen Class and UK T45 naval warships.
Ricky is a former US Marine Corps aviator and Weapons Systems Program Manager. He completed undergraduate studies at the Citadel, Military College of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina and executive graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.
Ricky is an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast including triathlons, endurance events, boxing, strength training, trekking, mountaineering, biking and football.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Ricky serves on several defense, aerospace, executive advisory and social justice advisory councils. He is married to his wife of 28 years and has two daughters age 21 and 24.
