Posthumous Emeritus

Jewell Cobb Pitts was a native of Montgomery, Alabama and graduated from  Xavier University of Louisiana. She had been employed with the Alabama  Department of Mental Health for 40 years and served as the  Coordinator of Children & Adolescent ID/DD Services before her retirement. In this  position she served as the liaison between the five Regional DMH/ID  offices and other state agencies / organizations providing children’s  services (ALSDE, DHR, ADRS, etc.).
